NCCE Latino Outreach Team

North Carolina Cooperative Extension's effort to effectively serve our state's burgeoning Latino population

To continue the progress we made as a team at our recent workshop, we have created a place to help us focus on the issues and work on program ideas. Below you will find seven clustered issues that were identified.

7. Parent and Family Issues Workshops Idea

  • (Connecting with Quality Child care - got 5 votes)
  • (Financial Management and banking - got 5 votes)
  • (Parenting classes - got 2 votes) = 12 votes combined

Considering these ideas where should we start?
Who else would you invite to work on this?

I have just created a new NC Latino parenting site. Check it out

I would love to be able to teach latino families how to manage their finances. I would like to learn an esy way to deliver information for the families on how to budget, get rid of debt, save, and plan for the future.

I feel that we should have input from Dept. of Social Services, we get lots of referrals from them. In our Co. some are court ordered to enroll with us.
