Should we consider creating an spanish-language integrated pest management program that can be used throughout the state? Based on the work done in Ashe, Alleghany, and Watauga?
Considering these ideas where should we start?
Who else would you invite to work on this?

I will be pursing grant funds to extend the Ashe/Watauga/Alleghany Christmas tree farm safety training for Hispanic workers to other commodities and parts of the state by developing a curriculum and leader's guide and video resources.
I'm also interested in developing effective ways of evaluating these types of training and demonstrating their impact.
We have several individuals who have expressed an interest in accessing the private pesticide applicators training in Spanish- I would be interested in working with others on this project.
IES has also gotten a grant to assist landscapers in safety/OSHA training that includes training opportunities
in Spanish.
Interesting to know.
